Fri August 27th 2004 @ 7:04PM - James - Tom Welling - 0 Comments

USA Today recently took a look at the upcoming fourth season of Smallville, set to premiere on September 22nd, on The WB. The article discusses the downturn in ratings last season, and Al Gough, one of the the shows' executive producers, attributes that downturn to the show becoming "a little darker than we wanted to go," and "a little too mythology-heavy."

The article goes on to outline a number of the changes that will been made to the show this year, including potential spoilers relating to the introduction of new characters and other time-honoured aspects of the Superman mythos in the new season. Accompanying the article was the new promotional image that you can view by clicking the thumbnail to your left.
