Where is Tom?

With a little over 36 hours until the fourth season premiere of Smallville in the United States, tomorrow at 8pm on the WB, and with publicity for the show already in full swing, in past years those of you in the US and Canada would be sitting down in a few hours to view one of Tom's rare guest appearances - but seemingly not this year.
So why isn't Tom on a whirlwind press tour as he was in anticipation of the past two seasons? With the schedules for the usual suspects, Regis And Kelly, The View, and TRL, remarkably Tom-free, right now your guess as to the reason is as good as mine. All I can suggest is that everyone keep their fingers crossed for some good news!

I agree with your observation that Tom has been missing in action as Season 4 begins; I had expected just the opposite and was looking forward to it. As to the significance, I don't know. Certainly he is easy on the eyes and most hosts appear to enjoy his interviews. Is The WB out to promote other (new) shows, or could the cast members feel above doing interviews? I hope not.
