News and Updates
Numerous Updates
Mon July 11th 2005 @ 2:05PM - James - Tom Welling - 6 Comments
I'll start with what may be the most important update: the news switcheroo tool. When reading the news page you now have the option of choosing whether to read every story, or only those relating to Tom or Mark respectively. A link to the tool is provided at the bottom of every news page. The default setting allows you to read every news item, so you won't need to change anything if you're happy with everything as it is.
I chose to provide this option due to some complaints I've been receiving following my posts about Mark. Those complaints have mainly been to state the obvious - that "this is a Tom Welling site!" As the person who's been running it for over three years, I would never have guessed ... What those complaints often seem to forget is that I choose what I'm going to post because, despite everything, this is still my personal fansite. I don't have any help with day-to-day maintenance; I don't have a team of co-webmasters; this is my tribute to Tom, as well as to anything else relating to him that I decide to mention. If you'll pardon the pun, you can't get much more related to Tom than Mark is!
As much as I would love to have power over people, unfortunately I don't. If you feel that I don't "stick to the subject" enough, I can't force you to continue to visit; that's your decision. The best I can do is give you a choice over what you read, and I've now done that. Complaints give me a headache, so any further complaints about this will either be deleted, or returned to sender labelled "D'oh!"
On to other things.
The list of awards that Tom has been nominated for, or won, has been updated to include this year's nominations. I've also updated the fan listing, added two new fan encounters from Tonie and Amanda, and linked-up with two new affiliates. Be sure to pay those a visit, the sites are fantastic.

You are doing a great job with keeping us up-to-date on what's happening with Tom. To tell you the truth, it's kind of refreshing to sometimes read Mark's news on this website. It reminds us that there are two talented Wellings out there to entertain us for a long, long, long time to come.
I visit your website everyday and you have never disappointed me even once, so keep up the good work, James!
