Tonight On Smallville: 'Crimson'
Thu February 1st 2007 @ 9:12PM - James - Tom Welling - 8 Comments
Tonight's brand new episode of Smallville, appropriately named 'Crimson', sees the return of a character who appears to be loved and hated in equal measure by fans of the show; however, I for one am looking forward to seeing this character (hint: it's not technically a different character at all, but for all intents and purpose it may as well be one) again. After last week's incredible episode, I really hope 'Crimson' – and particularly Tom – will deliver!
As it's still a few hours until 'Crimson' airs, here are a few things to pass the time a little more quickly: a Directors Cut for the episode from the CW Network; the normal and extended episode trailers, with huge thanks to Steve; a number of episode stills; the CW Network's official 'Crimson' description; finally, and not entirely 'Crimson' related, Al Gough answers our burning questions over at TV Guide.
Once the episode is over, please leave your comments in the forum or down in the comments.

Hi James,
From the moment you posted the stills about a week ago (or was it? Where's my head when I need it ...), I had a feeling this episode was about 'that'! Oh well ... thanks for your great work as always!

Crimsom was a good episode. I can't wait to find out what Lex has done with Lana's baby.

I thought Crimson was great. A lot of funny stuff, and the ending was great, too.
Did anyone notice the new blue and white pennants hanging in Clark's loft? Go Colts!!!

I loved last night's show. Tom is the best and so hot when he is bad.

You know, I had been looking forward to this particular episode for a while. I felt oddly let down after it was over. Then I realized that this episode was actually very important, because it showed the place Lana, Lois and Chloe hold in Clark's life.
Lois and Chloe are almost nothing compared to Lana, which I think everyone knew. Clark needs to grow up and just tell Lana the truth! He can't move on with another woman until he clears the air with Lana, or gets into a relationship with her. His love ... or infatuation, or whatever one calls it, is about Clark not getting a real chance to be with Lana.
It shouldn't take Red Kryptonite to get Clark to open up. Until he opens up to Lana, Clark won't be able to move on, and this plotline of him loving her won't move on, and the audience will never be able to see anything new until this issue is addressed.

This episode was amazing. Great chemistry between all of the characters. This episode, in my opinion, opened many doors to what could possibly happen in the future. I am extremely excited to see what happens next. Thank you for the stills.

I love Clark when he is bad, and I loved that he finally said what has been on his mind for a long time to Lana, Lex and his mom. The chemistry between Lois and Clark was good but they could still do better.
But Clark was in the picture almost the entire episode so I am not about to complain.

PriscillaPal, I agree. It's interesting to see how Clark is courageous in lots of situations except when he's required to do important personal growth! Maybe that's the producers' whole point? That he's even more human that way? Bah humbug! They don't always follow the comics, first with the Chloe creation, so why can't they do something great for Clark and Lana?
Physical courage is one thing, emotional and psychological courage another, including not projecting onto Lana his own fear of her finding out, which by now seems to have morphed into almost another character on Smallville! Apologies to have gone a tad Jungian there.
James, as always thank you for a great site!
